Question on the OT Trapper/Buzz Saw Trapper

I just picked up a Buzz Saw Trapper. I have 2 questions:

1. What is the reasoning behind the removable tweezers and the field pick? Is there a particular job function the pin was made for for this knife besides splinters and such? I like it but was just trying to figure it out.

2. Also why is the Buzz Saw stainless & the Bearhead high carbon? I thought all the OT pocket knives were 1095 and the UH were stainless.

Like the knife, BTW. Thanks for the help.

Yeah,I got all excited, jumped up and down when I pulled that heavy duty pin out of the trapper. Then,I wondered what I'd do with it.I suppose it would be handy for making holes in a hide in order to stretch it for drying.I don't know but it's great!

I also have a Buzzsaw trapper and I like it alot. I have always liked the stainless steel but I never liked the scales of the Uncle Henry knives.
I also wish they liner-lock was on the blade instead of the saw.

I guess the tweezers would be good for splinters or ticks, and the pin for cleaning your fingernails?
I wonder if I can magnetize the pin to make a crude compass?
