Question on the Renegade

Have been picking up some new Spydies these past couple weeks. Among them is a plain edge JD Smith that I really like. The Renegade is another model that appeals to me, and I see quite a few of them being offered, but all of them seem to be combo edge. I like the look of this knife, but am not a fan of combo or serrated edge knives. Was the Renegade ever made with a plain edge?

Yep, hard to find. Or maybe I wasn't looking hard enough:D

The Renegade was originally offered in plainedge and full serrated. The ones you are seeing with the part serrated blade are a recently released remake using some NOS(new old stock) parts that Spyderco had in storage. The new model has a steel liner for screwing the clip into where the older had no liners. The finger relief was cleaned up making it easier on the middle finger in hard use. I have a serrated older model and one of the new releases. The plainedge is harder to come by I think.

I still kinda regret selling my CE Renegade.

I will look to see if I have extras which I think I do.If I do I will email the parties looking with prices.

Downsizing all my extras.
