I really, really like the looks of the Tidioute Barlow with the TC on the bolster. Is that the #25 and if so will they be making more of them?

The TC Barlows are pattern number #15 Brian.
I'll find a picture for you.

It is actually the #15 pattern built on the same frame as the Boy's Knife. These were a limited special factory run and the Pattern Production Premiere run for the #15 pattern/frame (hence the PPP etched on the blades).

There is a TC Genuine Barlow in the for sale section right now!.. If you are considering getting one, you should jump on it while it's there... It probably won't last long. They are all sold out and are harder to come by unless you see one in the classifieds.

Brian,

The "TC Barlows" are #15s. You can read more about their genesis and Revelation

Hold on, Charlie just weighed in while I was starting this post. Burnside joined in with Helpful information. Did either post the thread link I was heading towards? No? Okay, I shall resume

Here (<-- TC Barlow thread). Things really start to pick up around page 7.

To answer your last question, the first run with the spear main blades came and went quickly, but GEC is currently working on a new run with clip blade mains. For more information than that, Mr. Green Jeans, waynorth, is your man. ;)

Thanks for the reference links, ~P!
At the risk of squandering a little bandwidth, here's a re-post of a comparison picture:
A #25 over a #15.

That two blade ebony eluded me...I wasnt in the inner circle to get one.. so sad:grumpy:

Okay, what I'm getting from this is that the spear point Barlow is sold out. Will there be another run of spear point, or am I out of luck?

I missed out on the two bladed versions as well. I was concerned about other things, but kept and eye on the site to watch for them. I did not realize who had all the Cheddar!

I had a shot at the one bladed versions, but held off.

Oh I think you can bet the farm they will make another run! :D Those babies sold out so fast there's still a vacuum left over the Northwest!!

Dave, I do hope you are right. I know you and the others will have much more experience at this than I. It just seems to me, facts aside:p, that a Barlow isn't a real Barlow unless it is a spear point. If they don't make another run of the spear point I'll just have to deal with the clip point. I will be needing one of those TC bolsters on whatever kind of Barlow I can get. Thanks guys, you are really quite a friendly and great group of guys.

Shoot me a PM or email brianv For some reason I can't message you, maybe you have it turned off, or maybe i just don't know what I'm doing!!

Not anymore :D

knowtracks, waynorth, perinux and everybody else, thank you. You guys have been nothing but helpful and patient with me. I'll have to wait and see what GEC does and then maybe I can get a cool barlow.

I still think that its the singularly best knife in GECs lineup (#15 in general)

I like that Tan handle variant, Randy. It will mellow with age - the light areas will darken, and vise versa!
I am using my one blade today, to open all the statements I collected for my last year's taxes. It's the only thing keeping me at this odious task! It looks so nice sitting open on the desk!
