Hello to all users of that cute little brat!
I had a titanium salsa ordered, got it after 9 months. Nice baby indeed! But I could hardly open it. The blade stuck every second time I tried. The dealer had the same problem. Other customers in the shop tried - the same result. I didn't take it that time, took a chinese folder instead.
Was that just a "childhood disease" of a new model? Can I try to buy one again? Are there any suggestions, what to do if it happens again? Because I really want a salsa!

Hi Arno Fey.
Very odd, I've not even heard of that problem before, mine opens very freely and have never had a hint of a sticking blade.

Hope you find a good one on your next trip, but I don't doubt you will :)

It really is unusual for a Salsa (Ti or Al). You should give the little one another try, it should work OK.

When you say it stuck, what do you mean? The salsa's have a pretty strong detent which depending on the tension of the ti lock, may be pretty stiff. It probably would have loosened up, but I think you'll be happy with your Chinese anyway :)

Well, I didn't take it apart to see what was wrong. But I had to press the lock outwards to open the blade. So I suggest, If I would take it apart, smoothen all the edges of the blade base, it would work. I'll get another one soon, I think. thanx.
