Hi,

I purchased the Busse Combat Battle Mistress after reviewing a press release in SOF magazine about Busse Combat making a new knife called the Battle Mistress.

The blade has a flat black coating, with just the very edge (1/16th or less) showing the INFI steel. It appears to have the dark green with black (Micarta?) handle. The sheath is black plastic (kydex?) with a dimple at the very back edge of the sheath, right near the handle, to keep the knife from slipping out. The screws in the handle are gray and slotted. It's much, much thinner then the newer, beefier Battle Mistresses out there. I own two of the newer, beefier models...those are my "workers".

It's never been used to cut anything, and has never been re-sharpened.

So, a few questions. Is this version still just called the Battle Mistress? Or maybe "Original Battle Mistress". Is it more valuable because it's a first version in brand new condition? What is it's approximate worth?

I own three BM's because I caught the bug, badly. I did control it though -- I only own 5 Busses' in total.

Didn't post a picture, only because I don't know how to off the top of my head.

Thanks for your patience. I'm sure fellow Busse Addictees :D can appreciate my condition/situation. Whatever you do, PLEASE don't go to the following site if you don't have any more knife budget left -------> http://burtfoster.com/products/copy-of-combat-4. When I saw the Burt Foster's Combat #4 (and Combat #4 Elite) that knife bug bit me again.

So I'm addicted once again...

Michael

Everything that can be said has been about the Battle mistress on this forum. There are way to many variables to valuate a knife. Suffice to say you have an original run BM. It is certainly worth a lot. As for identifying it pictures will help. If you cannot host them, email them to me at battlemistress@aol.com and I will host them and post them for you. Always like looking at another BM ;)

I also have the Busse Combat Samurai Sword. I know, I'm probably going to be banned for not knowing the proper name of it. (What is the name, if you don't mind sharing?)

What Busse's I own:

Badger Attack TAC Battle Grade
Battle Grade Active Duty
Battle Mistress -- (Original)
Battle Mistress -- (Super Beefy Thick One)
Battle Mistress -- (Super Beefy Thick One)
Samurai Sword (Technically Known as: _____________________)

Thanks,
Michael

You most likely own an original AK47.

Pics inbound (AK47 and original Battle Mistress) care of Cobalt.

So what (appx) is the value (for insurance valuation, if I ever had to replace these) of the AK47 and the Original, NIB Battle Mistress. Appx dollar amounts are fine!

Thanks,
Michael

They're not worth much; maybe $100 total if you're lucky. I'll give you $150 for 'em. I'll even add the PayPal fees :D.

spy4cia, I'm sorry, but your current membership level does not allow you to post questions concerning value anywhere on BladeForums. Since that is where this thread is heading, I now have to lock it.
I will suggest, however, that you check the price list sticky thread at the top of the main Busse forum page or use the "search this forum" function, or perhaps check out BadMojo.net. You might find what you're looking for.
