Hi,
I purchased the Busse Combat Battle Mistress after reviewing a press release in SOF magazine about Busse Combat making a new knife called the Battle Mistress.
The blade has a flat black coating, with just the very edge (1/16th or less) showing the INFI steel. It appears to have the dark green with black (Micarta?) handle. The sheath is black plastic (kydex?) with a dimple at the very back edge of the sheath, right near the handle, to keep the knife from slipping out. The screws in the handle are gray and slotted. It's much, much thinner then the newer, beefier Battle Mistresses out there. I own two of the newer, beefier models...those are my "workers".
It's never been used to cut anything, and has never been re-sharpened.
So, a few questions. Is this version still just called the Battle Mistress? Or maybe "Original Battle Mistress". Is it more valuable because it's a first version in brand new condition? What is it's approximate worth?
I own three BM's because I caught the bug, badly. I did control it though -- I only own 5 Busses' in total.
Didn't post a picture, only because I don't know how to off the top of my head.
Thanks for your patience. I'm sure fellow Busse Addictees
can appreciate my condition/situation. Whatever you do, PLEASE don't go to the following site if you don't have any more knife budget left -------> http://burtfoster.com/products/copy-of-combat-4. When I saw the Burt Foster's Combat #4 (and Combat #4 Elite) that knife bug bit me again.
So I'm addicted once again...
Michael
