Question: Original Tomcat vs. Tomcat II

I recently purchased a VERY used Tomcat and I am trying to figure out if it is an original or a Tomcat II. What are the main differences? This one has no thumb stud and no serrations at the top of the blade for a thumb grip.
 
You have an original Tomcat. The addition of the thumbstud is the most recognizable feature of the Tomcat II. The thumbramp grooves are, as well. There are also differences in the blade grinds on each, with the former Tomcat having the more attractive blade (in my opinion).
 
Ahhh I was hoping it was original. I've been negotiating with SOG to get it reconditioned and add some custom handles. Thanks!
