I am thinking of buying a Benchmade 960 - Red - and want to know from anyone who owns one, how abrasion resistant is the red finish?
From daily pocket carry, how long before the finish starts looking ratty?

Thanks in advance.

I have a California grape purple colored Benchmade model "921", a 2-blade "Switchback", that has held up well for many years. It is just a casual carry not a daily worker. I haven't whacked away in the rose garden with it. So far I can see only very faint scratch marks (probably from car keys in the pocket).

Does anyone have one?

I plan to wear it in my front right pocket (duh) - nothing else in pocket.

I just want to make sure it's not going to look like cr*p after a month or so.

Sorry for the late response. I've edc'd my red 960 for a whole year, clipped on the side with my keys. NO scratches or wear whatsoever.
