Question re: Emerson CQC-7 Knife

Hello all. I am a newbie here and would greatly appreciate any help or input. I have an Emerson CQC-7 (NOT B) knife, 3.3" blade. I honestly know nothing about it. The side of the blade also says 20/00. Can anyone tell me what this means? I also cannot find a serial number on it. Any idea where it might be located, if anywhere?

I looked at my 7, and it is also a year 2000 model with no serial number.

This is the knife that got the whole "tactical" thing going. I carried the 7 for many years (both the shorter and longer ones), but have since decided that I am not that fond of the chisel cut blade! Now, I carry a 12 for outdoors use, and a Karabmit for in town.
 
the 20/00 is actually the year 2000. the number is printed around the emerson logo, hence the line in the middle.

my 99 cqc7 does not have a serial number, only the year.
 
If it did have a number it would be on the flat of the blade under the thumb disk.
 
all the later ones i have seen have a # (later being since '00)

IIRC my '99 '7 was not numbered, go figure...........
