Question re:trolls

What is a troll, exactly? Just someone who posts provocative, argumentative comments, or is it more than that? Just curious, since I just read about thr ka-bar troll. Thanks for any info.

Thanks, RevDevil. Pretty much what I thought then. I thought perhaps it included posting under various identities, but it appears that is common, it is not necessary to be a troll.
