I am thinking about buying a Buck 110 or 112 BKSA Elite. My question is whether it can be operated with the left forefinger or middle finger. I wear my knife on my left side...Thanks!

for a left handed person- preference would be for the index finger, imo.
Many Thanks.

x2, easier with index. I think thats pretty universal using all right handed autos with your left hand.

Thanks! Waiting to hear from the dealer if they would be willing to be a go between for repair/spa service with Buck...

I wouldn't think shipping either way for service would be an issue. Laws are funny though I guess.

I can ship a handgun to the manufacturer and it be shipped directly back to me without issue. Even from and back to a state I dont live in.

Why autos are treated like plutonium is mind boggling...

Hand guns are legal, some states i guess switchblades arent.
A few years ago i sent a benchmade auto back thru a gun dealer (i dont think they were a benchmade dealer either, as i recall i was told the only way i could send it in was if i was a cop or military or something to that effect. As i think at that time in FL they were the only ones that could legally buy switch blades. I was not at all familiar with the laws at that time, not much more now either.

However, you might find out thru Buck what type of dealer they can send it back to in your state.

Yeah I'll jump on stupid laws but try to carry a fully legal handgun into someplace like new york or komifornia. Where I live they done away with idiot laws a couple of years ago so even though I was legal to carry an (fire dept) now everybody is allowed, how it should be. Our huge a-hat idiot governor screwed up last year a claimed we are a constitutional carry finally. About the only good thing he has done since in office, crap about the only thing beside hold taxpayer "sponsored" dinners and golf outings he has done.

Thanks everyone. MT_Pokt, on their website, Buck says they will not ship an auto unless they have proof of your fulltime status in the military, police, fire, or EMS. Falls back to the switchblade laws passed in the 50's or 60's IIRC...

It's simply not legal to ship an auto across state lines. It's a shipping law. It's not that they are not allowed to sell it.

As I read it , it applies to the USPS and not other shippers such as UPS and Fedex. There’s still a lot of controversy and confusion about it and most manufacturers are on the side of caution because there’s always that one state or bureaucracy or activist that will make a case out of it just to be politically obstanate while some persons are out to collect money from a large company. I know they’re trying to get the laws standardized across the nation but there’s some states just not wanting to move on it. I think it’s mostly fear of liability if a suit is brought against them or the manufacturer if someone is hurt from a automatic knife.

I'm left handed and carry my buck 110 on my left side,I've only ever fired my 110 auto with my left index finger and it's so comfortable doing it that I wouldn't even want Tyd button on the other side if it was an option,go ahead and get it,the button works perfectly left handed.
