Question regarding grinder motor: Hallmark Industries

I recently purchased an Oregon Blade Maker grinder from Ebay and am in the process of searching for the correct motor. For the past 6 years, I have been using a Grizzly Grinder, so the Oregon Blade Maker grinder should be an upgrade. My shop will only support 115v, so I am looking to get a 1.5 HP motor. I have not purchased a VFD yet, but am planning on purchasing a KBAC-27D. My question is if anyone has ever heard of or used a Hallmark Industries motor? Looks like the Motor is manufactured in Chicago, so it appears to be American made. The motor is advertised as AC MOTOR, 1.5HP, 1725RPM, 3PH/60HZ, 208-230/460VAC, 56C/TEFC, WITH FOOT, SF 1.15, INSUL F, INVERTER DUTY. I was thinking about getting a 1.5HP, 3PH, 1800RPM Iron Horse motor until I found the Hallmark Industries motor on Amazon. I included a link to the Hallmark Industries motor listed below. Any comments and or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Brian

That's a 3 phase(3PH) motor. You stated you only have 120v available which is most likely single phase(1PH). You probably want to go back and find one for single phase first.

I glanced at Baldor's website to see what they offered and a single phase 1.5 HP motor draws about 18 amps. Your 115 volt outlet is likely on a 20 amp breaker so you're stretching the limits of the circuit capacity and will probably trip the circuit breaker occasionally, or often. Since you have 115V available you should be able to run a 220V circuit to your shop for the grinder. The motor will run more efficiently at 220V, draws half the current (approximately 9A), and you won't be tripping breakers. It will add some cost but you will be much better off.

it might be alright running off a VFD but I would definitely look into bringing a 240 volt circuit to your shop like was suggested
