Question regarding Regular sebenza lock bar cutouts

Anyone know the year CRK started adding the extra cutout on the lockbar?

It's done to all double studs regular sebenza. This looks like a small Sebenza.. Sent ya message...
 
I did not know it either until I got my first dual studs... :D

Btw, there's an Annual Mammoth in the exchange... :)

By the way there WAS an annual mammoth with Spirograph Damascus and a plain blade 😢

It's really for the best. Now is not the time for me to lay out that kind of money. If I would have seen it I would have had a real battle. My day will come!
 
This is only done when double studs are added by CRK. If it were up to me, I would have double studs on every single sebenza I have. It's not feasible though. They will No longer do BG-42. I am sure eventually they will stop doing S30V also and will just do it to current offerings.

I would have to go through all mine and see how many actually have double studs. I know it's not many....!!!

I am actually thinking about the same thing.. I may have to send most of my regulars to get Double lugs... but sometimes, I like looking at that flat side of the lugs on the old sebs too...

Thanks, its my first double lug sebenza that had the cutout.
 
I have a small and a large Regular that I am going to send in for double lugs (along with two small Classics and a small serrated 21 for the same)
