I just had the handles on my BK7 sandblasted and am very happy with the results. It now has the "grip" that I'd wanted on this great knife. As others on this forum have stated, the knife is now very secure in hand, especially when wet. To those of you that have also made this modification, how well does the new finish hold up with use? Thanks in advance for any replies.

I sand blasted mine - they feel much better. I haven't used this knife only knifesturbated with it. The scales are made of a very tough material. It took quite a bit of blasting to get the texture I was looking for. I'm sure they will hold up fine - and of course they can always be blasted again.

Thanks for the reply, averageguy. Anybody else have any experience with the sandblasted handles?

I used sandpaper on mine. It made a minor but ok difference. I liked mine enough the way they already were so it didn't mattr to much to me. I'd get them sandblasted, but in my case, no point fixing what isn't broken.
