Question regarding the Endura parts kit

My endura 4 has a weak detent and there is a lot of blade play my question is that "If I replace the backspacer do you think the detent and blade play would be fixed?" I was suspecting that there was a problem with the backspacer, but I'm no endura expert.
 
If the knife has been disassembled, and the backspacer reinstalled incorrectly then replacing it, or installing it correctly if the lugs are not too badly damaged, would probably fix the problem. If you bought the knife new, and know it has never been apart, then follow uxo2's advice and return it to Spyderco.
