Question that's probably been asked many times

I have a Camillus (I think) folding knife - we used them in Vietnam as 'Demo' knives.
The one I bought has "Q1986" marked on the tang instead of "Camillus".
Can someone give the background for this marking?
Thanks.

I shouldn't have stated a dollar figure. I'll pay what's asked if I think it's worth it.
I'm sure there are better knives out there, but that particular knife and I have a long history.
I'd still like to know if the one I now have is a Camillus, (with "Q1986" marked on the tang instead of "Camillus")

Those were made by Queen in 1986... and to the best of my knowledge, that's the only year Queen made them.

Thanks, MMM.
I'd read on another forum that numbers replaced the word "camillus" on the tang several times over the years.
This was going to be a gift, and I'd talked up Camillus for its reputation, so now I'll have to backtrack. I don't know anything about knives, I just know I put mine to good use in RVN and back in the states, so I was comfortable with it.
Thanks for your help, MMM.

Are we talking TL - 29 style knives which have been used for 'Demo' work over several wars ? I don't know Queen models.

300Bucks

One like these ?

In case you were wondering , at one time TL -29 s was a sideline.
