Tom tells me my turn is coming up for my Medium TNT that I ordered almost a year and a half ago.

He is asking for specifics of what I want, and I really don't know! I have been carrying a Buck Mayo for the last six months, and am really enjoying it. I have gone through www.mayoknives.com pretty thoroughly, and I am really open to what this new knife should look like, except that I don't want it to be an exact copy of my Buck/Mayo.

Can you guys help me design my fantasy?

All I've told Tom so far is "I have a Buck Mayo now, I'll leave it up to you the exact iteration, but maybe do something out of the ordinary."

Mike...this is the style I am partial to and it will be nothing like the Buck/Mayo.

It is Mayo's Warnie blade model. So..the blade is definitely different than the Buck and check out the handle. With the slightly pointy butt end and the rest of the shape, it is also different than the Buck. This is a very good useful knife. Then pick a funky hole pattern and you are set.

I had a similar dilema. I have a large left handed spearpoint with a swedge. I frequently think to myself, wow, this knife is far to nice to carry. Then I get over it and put it in my pocket and spend all day thinking how glad I am that I did. As nice as the Buck is it is heavily outclassed by Tom's custom work.

There has been some pics floating around of a tanto TNT in Damascus that is just stunning.

Good luck and enjoy your knife, the waiting is hell.

Why not just tell Tom what size and materials you want and let him use his artistic talent? He makes some really nice stuff!
