posting it here because Andy and Co went to several knife shows in the past
the last one was in North Carolina but it was one before.

I am pretty sure that some knife shows are big and has good representation and some are small.

Please share your experience which one is worse to attend.
see, if show is across the country someone my need to spend 500+$ for plain and 500+ for hotel/food/car rent and so on

which one is worse it?
from the other hand no problem to go for some local one if they 1-4 hour away from home, even if they are small

I so far was only one time in Atlanta this year.

Blade show here in Atlanta is absolutely worth it.

Also, this coming year in September the Knifemaker's Guild and the ABS are merging and putting on a combined show in Kansas City.

We'll be at both shows.

Ha, what a trip... I just opened up the Blade Show page and the Fiddleback Forge sign is right there, and that is myself and Adam behind the table talking to Mistwalker.

Save your money (twice the amount you're mentally willing to spend) and GO to the Blade Show.

I'll probably make the show in KC for sure because it is just 3 hours from my house and my daughter lives close.

I've got my first Blade Show on the calendar for 2015.

It's a 10 hour drive but my brother lives 1 hour north of Atlanta. I figure if I stay at his house 4 nights it will be like getting a free knife with the money I'd save on a hotel. :D

Blade is well worth the drive and spending 4 nights with family.
Bonafide has some great advice. One thing to add - whatever your amount is, double it.
Just to be safe, and that still might not be enough.

Blade show is the best of the best.
