Question: When is a 'Chris Reeve' not a CRK?

Answer: When it was made by Chris after he retired from CRK :D

The middle staff was completed May 24, 2016, and is made using Purple Heart wood. It's overall length is 33 5/8", which leads me to believe Chris made this one by request.The ones on either side are Wengewood, and were made in 1998 and 2000.

Wenge is an interesting choice of wood to use. I can’t tell from the pictures, but it usually has large pores and valleys between the grain. But that Purple Heart Wood is just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing!

Nah, not luck. The reward of passionately engaging in the hobby of collecting. Being in the right place more of the time means being in the right place at the right time more than the rest of us.

It's definitely a passion. Takes a lot of my time, and most of my money!
