All right,

Where does one look besides Bark River Knife and Tool for fine convex ground bush blades? I have a few Barkies, I am just steering a new direction. (The why isn’t nearly as important:rolleyes:).

Where shall I look? $200-300, custom makers are fine (Never done that before), I just want to ensure my money is well spent and that I get a piece that will last a lifetime.

Thanks for the input:cool:

Check out Ban Tangs forum. He is the master of the convex edge.

Hit the makers section. I don't really buy production fixed blades anymore. :D

One you might want to try if you're into production blades is Fallkniven. I've heard they're pretty good.

I'm turned off of Bark River too.;)

Andy Roy at Fiddleback Forge, Dylan Fletcher at Fletcher Knives, as well as Ban do convex grinds. Christof Harper (Koyote Knives) does a scandivex, a cool mix of a scandi and convex ...all four have pages in the makers section. Go have a look and let the drool-fest begin!

Ehh, pretty much everyone covered so far.

Fallknivens are great production fixed blades with a convex grind.

Bryan Breedan, Sicily02 here on the forums, makes great knives. I had one of his pathfinders and was very impressed.
