Just recieved a NIB Small Sebenza from a Chris Reeve dealer and the birthcard was typed not the normal hand written. just wondering when they started doing this and is it normal.

Thanks

It's normal...I think they started doing that about 6 months ago, maybe earlier.

I'm not so sure it's normal; I just picked up a large 21 with Bocote inlays to give my son for Christmas. It has the traditional hand written birthday card dated October 2012.

It's completely normal. Not saying they are all like this but certainly some are.

Here are cards from my first 2 Sebenzas:

I know that some portions of what was once a totally hand written card are now typed, but the unique info such as birthdate and inlay are hand written. When the question of a typed birthday card was raised I'm saying the birthdate is not normally typed.

I just got my first sebenza 2 weeks ago a small 21 as well and my card is the same.

How do you like it? I absolutely love it.

Yup that's what my card is like. And love my sebenza I sold all of my old ones off and was sebenza less missed them so bought another oh well live and learn.
