hey everyone, I bought a spyderco civilian a few days ago, and it just came in today. I was so excited that it had finally came. I opened it up and it was beautiful. right when I went to inspect it, something caught my eye. The blade wasn't centered. it was to the left and it felt really tight when deploying it. Its a 280 dollar knife and I really expect it to be perfectly centered if I am going to spend that good amount of money. I bought it off of amazon which they get the knives from spyderco. i was also looking at the para military 2 and was wondering should i send it in to get fixed or send it in, get a refund, and get the military??? please leave your opinion and thanks for all the help. also would the warranty cover that?

Send it back and buy from somewhere else $280 is almost double what they normally go for

I got it for 150 but cause it was on sale on amazon. should I get a refund and get the paramilitary 2?

Depends, because you're talking two knives that are as different as night and day. The Civilian is purpose-built as a last ditch defensive weapon. It's not intending for general utility use and comes with a tag saying that because the tip is somewhat delicate in order to penetrate flesh more effectively. So, if you want a knife strictly for SD, and do not intend use it for anything else, then send the one you received back to Amazon get another one. If, on the other hand, you really want a general purpose EDC knife and only purchased the Civilian for its "look", then trade it in for a PM2 before you break the tip.

thanks, I wanted the civilian for SD but I realized that that's all I can use it for while I actually really needed an EDC knife.
