I own a model 119 which has buck 119 u.s.a.
and a 110 which has buck .110.. u.s.a.
and a 103 which has buck 103x u.s.a.

these were all given to me by my brother i was wondering what approximate year they were
made and what type of steel was used. and help would be appreciated.

The 119 would have been manufactured between 1971 and 1985. The 110 between 1980 and 1982. Both were made of 440c steel. The 103 has a 1990 year mark which indicates only when the blade was made, but the knife was probably assembled in 1990 or early 1991. The 103 is of 425modified steel. Hope this helps.
By the way, the 3 dots on the 110 are indicative of the use of a bushing on the hinge pin to facilitate smoother opening and closing. The bushing may be nylon.
