Anyone know how to remove an engraving from a knife blade? I received a Citadel Kukri folder and my name was laser engraved on it, love the knife but not a fan of the engraving. Can I remove this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
(Can post pics later)

Change your name. Kidding, depends on how deep the engraving is sometimes laser is very thin and can be sanded down without ruining the blade.

Kinda new at this. What would be the best grit to sand it without damaging the blade?

You will damage the finish for sure. Maybe talk with the seller and work out an exchange or fix it to your liking?

use it.

laser engravings tend to wear away over time from use. i have some Bucks you can't see the laser engravings anymore....

You'd have to re-finish the whole blade if you want to get rid of the engraving and keep the finish consistent. I did something similar once on a folder and it ended up really not being worth it. It took forever hand sanding and it just felt like it wasn't really worth it.

Pics would help possibly determine the proper course of action. You would need to determine the type of finish to figure out the different grits of paper to obtain the correct final finish.

Just laser engrave over it, like covering a tattoo. I'd suggest a shotgun wielding dragon riding a Harley, but if you're lame you might want to go for something more subtle
