I have an older Queen made between 1946-48, it's 3 5/8 inches closed with a large clippoint blade, and a small pen blade. Real bone handles and in really good condition, but I can't seem to identify it as a Dogleg Jack or a Mini-Trapper????

Is there a difference between the to knives?

The dog leg will have a serpentine shape. (a muted S type curve).

The trapper will be straight with a slight curve, but it will not be serpentine.

It is a little out of the ordinary for a trapper to have a pen blade (most of the time trapper blades are of equal length) so my bet is is a dog-leg jack.

Mr. Rebel, :D

Most Trappers have a spey blade, or at least another equal length, (as Bastid mentioned), skinning type blade. Sounds like a Jack to me, as well.

I have been searching all over the net this morning and I keep running into a familiar pattern, that this exact shape and blade combination if it's under 3 inches closed most webpages identify it as a Dogleg Jack, but over 3 inches as Mini-Trapper. So I don't know what to call it?????

Oh well it's still a great knife!

Queen's website wouldn't load for me the last 2 days, but it did just know. They show this exact knife as a Dogleg Jack so you guys were right.

Thanks!
