I was wondering more or less what a large classic with a BG-42 blade would sell for ??

In mint condition, I would say around the price of an S30V or more. Considering the fact that there are only 2 years of production of the BG-42 Classic MM, I would say it is more sought after than a plain model. Depends on the condition.

It all depends on how quick you want to sell it and how bad someone wants a BG-42 bladed classic. Heck, start at a high price and see what kind of response you get. People want a bargain and I can't blame them for it. Good Luck!
