re3mil, here's the Youtube procedure:
Take the portion of the URL after the = sign
Bracket that between [ youtube ] [/youtube]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8s7HaM3zI8
[ youtube ]q8s7HaM3zI8[/youtube]

(remove spaces inside [ youtube ] brackets)
 
TurboScooter, your title is too long. It forces your posts off the right side of the page. If you don't mind people ignoring what you write, no big deal. Why not put it in a signature line?

My custom title wasn't actually put there by me. I poked around in the User CP and saw no way to change it. From what I gather only Platinum members can change it themselves, so I have no way of changing it myself.
 
Gold Membership
Allows you to sell in the Exchange section, 40 private messages, a custom signature and a 100x100 avatar.

Go to User CP, first section: Your Profile, Edit Your Details. Within this, the second section is Optional Information - All information will be viewable by other forum members. Custom User Title.

Gold says nothing about custom titles. This is a screenshot of the section of my User CP that you're talking about:

I copied

Gold Membership

from Upgrade your forums experience, at the top of the page.
It's only a custom signature, not title. My mistake. Can't imagine how you got zapped.

Platinum Membership has it's rewards! Not only do you get all the benefits of a Gold Membership, but you also are able to change your own custom title, get 5mb of attachment storage, a 120x120 avatar and storage of 200 private messages.

Emphasis mine. If I am understanding the membership levels correctly, only Platinum members get to change their own custom title; Gold members do not have that ability.

No worries. I am aware of how I got the title. I hardly post anyway. I think more than half my posts are in this thread. :D
