I am deciding for an EDC.
I am looking at the spyderco stretch.
OR the benchmade griptilian 553 (tanto)
COuld you guys/gals help me out?

We need to know a lot more about you, your knife maintenance skills, your cutting needs, and which Stretch you're looking at before we can be much help to you.
 
You did a nice job of narrowing it down to two excellent edc choices. Just get both. Buy one now & save up at your leisure for the other. If you're a knife nerd you're going to wonder about the one you don't get until you get it. Trust me on this.
