Questionable geometry...

I am seeing more and more "kitchen" knives for sale by guys that are branching out from outdoor knives in the exchange. I see questionable blade geometry, handle shapes, and grinds that would not fare too well in a kitchen setting. There are some gems offered but many just don't fit the bill. Just my opinion but I have been in the kitchen since 1975.
There is a lot to kitchen knife design and when I see the products and prices asked it makes me cringe. Russ

Simple answer is don't buy them.

More complicated answer is to chime in with kind, constructive criticism. I'm a fan of statements like, "That looks great. I'd love to see something from you with thinner stock," or, "Man, that thing would really slice with a bit of a convex grind." I can be an undiplomatic jerk far too often, but I feel bad about it and generally advocate more diplomacy on the web.

I hear you, in just don't want to stomp on someone's sales thread. I guess I could send a pm, not sure of the reception though. I do buy some kitchen knives here, so some obvious flip my switch. Russ
