So, I finally picked up two that I've been looking for for quite a while:
A 154UH to round out my modest (3) collection of 154OT's, and
a USA made Buzzsaw Trapper, one I wanted but couldn't afford back in the day.
Neither are quite what I was expecting, hoping you experts can chime in.
The 154UH has no shield on the handle, and appears to have never had.
Were they made this way? Seems weird for it to not be branded Uncle Henry
other than the UH in the tang stamp.
The Buzzsaw is a Ducks Unlimited version and the Delrin is solid black. I'm wondering how common that was, I've seen green DU versions but not black.
And, the big one, the Buzzsaw blade is quite clearly stamped 96OT, not 97OT. Assuming the blade is the same for both knives, how often do you think the mix ups occurred? Or could it be a conscious decision, like maybe they didn't care so much on a knife branded DU, not OT??
Thanks for your thoughts!
