How long has Boker USA been around?

I notice Boker made Contract knives; John Primble comes to mind. Were their Contract knives base on models that they already made or were some exclusive to the customers?

Boker USA has been around a fairly long time, since the late 1890s–early 1900s. In 1892 H. Boker & Co. bought out Valley Forge Cutlery in NJ and started to produce U.S. made pocket knives and tools. Early knives were branded "Tree Brand" and stamped USA. Boker even owned Schrade at one time (1956-58). They stopped US production in 1983 and the company went dormant for a few years, then reemerged as the Boker USA we know today, which is really just an office in Colorado. Yes, they did contract knives to United, maybe a few others. Boker in Germany has done the same. Patterns were mainly already in their catalog.
