Questions about carbon fiber plates

Hi, Everyone.
I have a couple of questions regarding the dealer-exclusive Sebenza 21 with a carbon-fiber plate.
I've been searching for my next knife for a long time and somehow I ended up buying a carbon-plate small senbenza. I know I will be fully satisfied by it. Yet, I have a couple of questions regarding the carbon-fiber plate since this is my first knife with carbon-fiber material.

First, I wonder who makes those carbon-fiber plates. Does CRK manufacture them? or Do they just order from 3rd party manufacturers?
Second question is that is there any quality difference among those carbon-fiber products? I know it must be the best quality one if CRK uses it but I am just curious.
Third, I wonder if the carbon plate has a brushed (dull) finish or a glossy finish. From the picture, it looked brushed but I see lots of Sebenzas with glossy finish in some youtube videos.

Thanks a lot.

Best,

From the one sitting in front of me I can tell you it is not a glossy finish.
I'm not sure if you call it "brushed" or "satin", but it's nice and grippy.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm glad it is not glossy as I didn't like the glossy finish at all from the youtube videos. ^^

Matte finish on current production CF Sebenzas. The original run of 50 were glossy, and numbered. The tolerances on CF scale Sebbies are every bit as tight as all Ti scale Sebenzas - no wiggle. I assume CRK makes the CF scales, but then again I never really thought about it.

Thanks XJ.
I still can't imagine how CF plates can be even comparable to those strong titanium slaps. Maybe my worries will only go away when i get it.

CF is incredibly strong and light for its strength. I would guess that the CF is every bit as capable as the titanium in its use as a knife handle scale. I am sure you will enjoy it.

While I doubt CRK does their own CF, I'm sure Mr. Reeve only uses the finest stock avaliable.
The material itself is fascinating.
So incredible light and strong.
Think of all the uses in todays world (airplane wings, Formula 1 cockpits and so on).
A thing I have to learn is that is doesn't have to be heavy to be strong - modern times.

What I wonder is how the combination of different material reacts to extrem variation in temperature.
