I have been thinking of taking the plunge and ordering some GEC knives as users. I wiil have to order online as I have never seen them for sale around here.

I wanted to ask those who know the product line about what I am specifically looking for (and if such specific knives do exist).

Looking for the following specific characteristics:

- non serial numbered knives
- 1095 steel
- a traditional older bone style in an antique brown or antique green bone

Patterns - the barlow, the 25 jack with clip master, the 73 trapper in 2 blade, and the Cuban in three blade.

Would appreciate any info as to whether GEC made what I am looking for, best place to buy, etc.

Thanks Much

It sounds like GEC's Northfield and/or Tidioute lines. I ordered my GEC Barlow from TSA Knives and was impressed by their prompt and personal service. Try collectorknives.net too. I'm not a company schill, these places are just where I shopped for mine.

I've bought Northfield and Tidioute knives from knivesshipfree.com, cumberlandknifeworks.com, and collectorknives.net.

Excellent experiences with all 3 sellers.

I got mine from collectorknives and tsaknives they are both great.

I too am a fan of unserialized blades with 1095 steel and bone handles. I've got a barlow and scout with those features.

Tsa knives and River Raisin Knife Co. have served me very well for these knives and I'm an international client.
