Ive been thinking about getting a Gerber LMF ASEK knife for a pack able heavy duty knife. It seems like its good quality, has plenty of nifty features about it, and can be worn anywhere on the body due to its sheath. Is this a good choice (for the price) for carrying around as a half tactical, half utility and half survival knife?
About the knife itself, is the blade material (12C27 Stainless Steel) good steel? What are its strengths and weaknesses? Is its tang full and strong? Is the blade thick, rugged and sharp? Is there anything against it at all? I know that Gerber is often not well received on this forum, but from what I gather theyve done a good job on this one.
