Questions about Hattori's VG10

Well, I've been eyeing a couple of Hattori's hunting knives and was wondering if there were any reviews out there. I've heard a few people comment on the VG10 @ 61 being too brittle for kitchen use. The knives I'm looking at are around 3.5mm thick but have that same steel.

The main question is can I trust Hattori's VG10 outdoors??? Lastly, does anyone know what type of grind is being used on these knives???
