Questions about LMF scales

Hey folks,
I have contemplated buying a set of upgraded scales for my beloved 16 several times, but haven't followed through yet. So far, my favorites are the LMF micarta scales. I looked at his facebook page, but can't find a ton of information. I know that his tweener scales are a bit thicker than the factory ones, but I'd like to know how appreciable the difference is. Also, what do the fasteners look like? My infinitesimally small complaint about becker scales is their asymmetrical nature. One side has a hexagonal hole, while the other has a round hole. Not a big deal, except that I tend to prefer symmetrical designs. On Facebook, I only see pictures of the LMF scales on the Kabar/BKT etched side of the blade, and not the "BK16" side. Can anyone post a couple pics and maybe some comparison?

Also, feel free to share your experience with LMF scales (not that I need much convincing)!

I recommend TKC's G10 scales. They not only have symmetrical bolt heads on both sides but, the bolt heads sit almost perfectly flush with the scale faces. The scales are also perfectly symmetrical because they are 3D CNC machined. They have a nice texture adding to the grip but, arent too rough so they cause chaffing and hot spots. They also are much stronger then Micarta and dont absorb dirt, oil, blood, exc. like it does making them much easier to keep clean.

They are thinner than the stock scales. That's a huge negative for me.

Ok, just though I would recommend them because they are the nicest aftermarket scales I have seen/used. Keep in mind that liners can be easily made to increase the width if required. All aftermarket scales are only going to vary a small amount in size whether it is larger or smaller. You will probably have to make or purchase liners or pick a different knife with a larger handle if your hand size is too large.

I believe he uses round stainless threaded inserts so you only have three screws no nuts black or silver . Joe can add g10 liners if wanted . I looked into a while back for the Tweeners as I wanted thicker scales but it would involve new sheaths . I did have him make full size scales thicker and he does excellent work .

If I am not mistaken, Todd from TM Hunt knife fame is using LMF for his production grade M18 handle scales. Thats a pretty serious reccommendation if you know how Todd works.
