Questions about my new Charge AL

I got my Charge AL last night and have some concerns before I use it in case I decide to return or exchange. I am wondering if these things I noticed are normal. On all of the outside blades the liner locks all look like they are against the bronze washers when locked open. They all open and close smoothly except the file. The file scrubs the inside of the scale when opening and closing. The black coating has worn of the inside scale already but what really bothers me is the sound it makes when it scrapes closed - nails on a chalkboard. Also when closing the pliers into the handle the can opener side of the pliers rub against the inside ruler (liner?) wearing the inside shiny leaving grey powder on the pliers. Not that big of a deal, just wondering if there's a protective coating being rubbed off so I can be sure to keep that area oiled.
So do any of these things sound normal on the Charge, specifically the AL? None of them seem like they would affect the performance of the tool but if there are better made specimens out there I would rather have one of those for the money spent.

The file on both my Charge (XTi) and Wave both scrape when closing. In addition, both the tools' locking implements have engagement similar to yours -the liner bar goes fully to the outside when the blades are open.

Thanks for your reply. I did some searching and found that the file rubbing is not uncommon, as well as some tips to avoid it from rubbing . I cut some stuff, used the driver and pliers a few times and just got done oiling the tool. It's now used so it's mine. :)

late reply but my file scrapes a bit too. the locks on mine are all fairly centered except on the serrated blade, that one swings out just about to the washer. what tips did you find to remedy the file scraping? to be honest i barely use it so not that a big a deal to me, but if a quick fix def worth it.
