Questions about online buying

I finally scrounged up the dough to get the sere 2k i have been wanting, and I find out that my local knife guy does not carry it!! He can order it, but it will be about 3 weeks from his distributor. The plus side to that is that I can get it for about 115.00. I am not good at waiting, so I was thinking about going online. I know there are many sites recommended on here, so I have a couple of questions:
1. Will the online sites be able to get it to me quicker if I order it tonight?
2. I have not found the sere 2k. for under 130.00. With s&H it sill prolly be around 140.00. That's 25 more bucks than I could get it if I wait 3 weeks. Anyone know of a cheaper site?
3. Which site should I use to support BF. I have heard great things about New Graham, 1sks, knifecenter, etc. I would like to support BF if they are all pretty much equal. Thanks-Seth

Maybe. But call them and ask if they have it in-stock first. Paying extra for overnight shipping does no good if the retailer doesn't have the item you want in stock.

The most direct support of bf.c is 1sks. Otherwise, patronizing any of the dealer members is good. Please be sure to mention that you found them through bf.c so that they'll know that their bf.c membership is doing some good.

I have nothing but good to say about New Graham. Never delt with the others. I know my kids have bought from 1sks and had no problems.

From past experiance.If you buy it from New Graham over the phone in the morning and ask for USPS priority shipping,you will have it 2 days later.

Newgraham, 888knivesrus, and a few other sites support this forum by paying an $800/year Dealer subscription. From my experience, it's hard to find better prices than newgraham unless there's a special running or something.

Another vote for New Graham. 6 -7 days delivery from placement of order to receipt in Perth, Western Australia. Always receive goods in perfect condition at the right price - Mike and Mary Beth make online shopping a pleasure.

Don't forget about e-bay. There's a Sere 2K available right now from an e-bay store called FlamesnKnives for $115. I've ordered from FlamesnKnives several times, and even though I've had to make one return, I've never been disappointed with their customer service. The feedback system really pushes e-bay sellers to keep buyers happy. I've ordered from online stores and not even been informed my item was on backorder until a week or two later when I called to find out where my order was. Plus, I can always find what I'm looking for at least $10 cheaper on e-bay.
