The rat website says the knife is 16 ounces... is this correct?

Also I would like to see how the bow drill divot works.
 
Hey, I noticed the RC-5 at the Shot Show had "USAF" above the SERE crest. Anyone know if the "USAF" will be on the production knives?

No, it will not. This was a error on our part rushing to get everything ready for the show. I loaded the wrong art into the laser. Sorry for the confusion.
 
Google "bow drill/friction fire starting" and watch any demo on starting a fire with a primitive bow drill. The knife handle with the divot is substituted for the small block held in the palm of one hand on the top end of the drill. This is typically the most difficult piece to come up with that will work efficiently without disintegrating, breaking or getting too hot. Mike
 
I would love to see this used as bearing block. I have never used anything like knife handle before...
