Hi:

I have some questions about selling.
I'm a knife collector and seller in china,I've sold American made knives for about 10 years.and I am much American custom knife makers' dealer in china. But I will not sell american made knives here.Questions are related to my own products.
From 2 and a half years ago,I began to do my own design, and I have got some designs. My knives/tools/other items are production made, not handmade. I purchased a KnifeMaker / Craftsman / Service Provider Membership sometime before, but haven't sold anything.I'm not sure that if it is correct that selling my products in the maker's for sale area, and I don't want to break the rules. So I think it's a good way to ask question before selling.

Here are my questions:
1. Could I sell my own product in knifemaker's for sale area with knifemaker membership? Or,what membership should I purchase, dealer? infact I'm not a dealer.
2.Some of my products will be very cheap, even they will not worth the international shipping cost.Could I seek agents/dealers in USA in my thread?
3.Some knife making meterials are cheaper in china, like MOP,stags, and Mammuth Ivroy.I can provide these meterials. Also where should I post the for sale thread?

Thanks alot.

Hi G.E.,
1- You can sell in the Knifemakers Exchange areas, items that you have made (knives, sheathes, etc.
2- Not sure about "seeking agents/dealers", that would make you a wholesaler. I'd say for that you would need a Dealers membership.
3- For selling these raw materials, you will need a Dealers Membership, unless it is a single piece, one time.

Here is a quote from the Exchange area, it defines the memberships in question.
DEALER / MATERIALS PROVIDER - Dealers are defined as anyone who purchases at wholesale pricing, or purchases items with the intent to resell (flipping). Other terms for dealers include purveyor, broker, reseller, etc. Materials Providers offer raw materials such as steel, handle materials, or other items related to knifemaking in general as typical stock for sale to the forum members or to the general public via their own store front or website.

KNIFEMAKER / CRAFTSMAN / SERVICE PROVIDER (hearafter referred to as "Knifemaker") - Knifemaker's are allowed to sell items that they have personally created or modified in the KnifeMaker For Sale forums, or their own Hosted KnifeMaker Forum. If you are a knifemaker or craftsman and would like your own Hosted KnifeMaker Forum, please contact us.
