I was digging through my modest accumulation of stuff and ran across some knives that I haven't been able to find out much of anything about. Don't recall exactly when I got them, but it's a good while ago. Haven't used them at all, although it seems that I didn't keep the boxes and/or papers for some unknown reason. If anyone would provide me with any information about them regarding relative quality, collector desirability or possible value in today's market, I'd be most grateful.
All are unused, in excellent to mint condition.
1. Blackjack AWAC: 6" spearpoint blade, appears to be stainless of some sort with a fine "bead blasted" type finish. Matching steel finger guard and a black grip made of some sort of composite material. Lanyard hole with leather thong wrist loop. Heavy black leather sheath with approx 2" belt loop and snap retainer. Can't find any info about it at all.
2. Ek Bowie: Marked as being made in Effingham, IL but no mention of Blackjack in the markings. 6 1/2" stainless blade, brass guard and sort of blocky-looking wooden grip scales secured with brass "X" head screws and nuts. OD cordura web sheath with velcro retaining strap. Don't quite know what to make of this one.
3. Paragon Cutlery "fighting/combat" Knife. 7 5/8" stainless, sort of serpentine-shaped blade with 1/2 length sharpened false edge on top. Marked "Seki, Japan" at the base of the blade. Black linen micarta scales secured with several stainless pins and lanyard hole. Black cordura sheath with some leather trim. Another one i can't seem to find anything on at all.
4. A.G. Russell Military Bowie. 7 1/2" matte stainless blade marked "A.G. Russell" on one side. Very wide (approx.2") blade. Finely checkered black grip scales of some sort of nylon/polymer material secured by two slotted screws. Very heavy black leather sheath with snap retaining strap. Have no idea when I got this, and haven't been able to find anything out about them.
We're still stuck with dial-up, but I'll try to post some photos if possible. Any info, opinions, etc. you'd be willing to offer about these would be of great help and much appreciated!
