I'm snoopin' around for a lighter, it's gonna be just a general EDC one, I don't really do any camping and such though.
I would like it to be a jet-flame, and I believe the Helios is a jet-flame...but I haven't seen any reviews and it doesn't specify on their website that it is a jet-flame.
I could easily just get a cheapo jet-flame, but I don't wanna blow money buying cheaper lighters. Or I could get a Zippo Blu, but I've seen some reviews on that, and I do not like the ignition system on it.

Anyone own the Brunton Helios? Or has anyone seen a video review of this anywhere?

Does anyone recommend any other jet-flame lighters?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First, let me move this from the General Knife Discussion to the Gadgets & Gear forum, since the Helios isn't a knife. :)

Next, I've had one and found it 100% reliable, lasts a long time on a refill, good tough construction. Seen a few other good lighters, also. Currently have a Brunton Windstorm. The Helios is easier to use since the Windstorm needs the cap unscrewed to get at the flame.

+1 on the Helios. Very reliable. The only drawback to pocket carry is it's size, which may or may not bother some. As a kit or backpack lighter, I don't think you could do any better.

I guess it's what you could call a jet flame.
Pics? Videos? Easy to search for if there are any. O don't have files of that sort of thing.

I haven't been able to find any online...so frustrating!
But it seems like you all enjoy it...thanks for the input

Try something radical, like Brunton's website, or maybe Ebay.

It is a jet flame, just not a very big one compared to many. Mine lights first time every time even if not used for weeks. I have used it during a hurricane and it did not blow out. Very reliable.

I have one and I like it. Do you really need to see a video of a lighter before you buy it? It's a lighter goddamit - there's a blue jet flame - that's about it....
Go to a store and try one...

I have two of them, branded 'Silva Helios Storm Lighter' in the UK, and they're excellent. There is a concentrated, blue, jet flame every click, without fail! They have a water, dust and dirt proof casing, are impact resistant, float, and hold a lot of gas. Robust and reliable tools.

One lives in my pack side pocket, the other lives in my PFD survival kit.

Here's an owner's report in the Emergency & Survival Gear section on Backpacking Gear Test.
