I bought the Buck 112 Ranger and 110 Hunter on sale at a 20% discount from a mom-and-pop gift shop in West Virginia. The lockblades come with black leather sheaths.

The sheaths are okay (not as well made as the Schrade tan leather sheaths, mind you), but I really would like nylon sheaths for both knives.

If anyone knows where I can purchase online quality nylon sheaths with velcro closures for the Buck 110 and 112, please let me know.

Mate, Call Buck knives for a good ;) quality nylon sheath.
I've got one for both my 110 & 112 both from Buck.

They are well made preformed codura nylon with quality
(silent) snap that will hold up for years. :) For me velcro
is nice but to darn noisey and unreliable on a knife sheath.

Thanks for the tip. I'll see what Buck has to offer.

I like nylon because it can stand accidentally going through the washer better!

I like velcro because you can close the sheath without looking, do a crappy job closing the sheath and the closure will still hold. With snaps, I have to look down to see what I'm doing, and you must line up the snaps to get them to, well, snap together.

I've got a great nylon velcro sheath from TAD that will fit the 110 (or anything else of similar size). I've probably got a dozen or so sheaths I've ended up with, most of which aren't the highest quality, but this TAD sheath is really impressive. Velcro is loud, but no complaints at all other than that. Here's a link: http://www.tadgear.com/x-treme gear/gear organizers main/tad-s1_sheath.htm

Cool. Thank you.

Buy what you wish but you should know the Buck nylon sheaths
snap closed .......without .....looking at them . it's the way they're
cut that leads the snap halves together.:)

They work so well I've opened and closed mine underwater and didn't
loose the knife. :D One more thing .....mine have been washed with my
jeans at least once a month to keep it new looking.
