Questions about the CRKT M4

I have been toying with the idea of asking about this knife for a while and i just decided today is the day to do so. I am a fan of this classic style. simple flowing sort of handle with metal bolsters and black, or dark scales. Anyway, i will eventually get a custom Carson Model 4 in some size or another. I still like some production models of many custom designs. The CRKT M4 looks quite nice, but i have deep misgivings about the (design/build?) of this knife. The blade looks like it is just barely inside the handle. The lock-up looks like it happens literally at the very top of the handle. If the blade was any further up it might just up and fall out of the handle altogether. Does anyone have any experience they could share regarding this knife? I am just really curious about how it holds up in the long run, with relatively heavy use. Thanks.

I don't really like this knife because the name is misleading. Now that I have one in my hands I will cut with it and see how it holds up.
