questions about the nw ranger

what is the length of the plain cutting edge? although it is a modified clip point, do you find that it has enough of a point for detailed work? how well do you think it would hold up near... or in saltwater? is the sog team leader a better choice for an outdoors knife (aus8 model)?

I like everything about the NW Ranger, except the serrations. I would love it as a PE.
So I use a Fallkniven F1 instead.
