questions about the SHBM

I have a couple questions about the new SHBM. The first question is about the finish. I have never owned a satin Busse before, all were coated.
If I spend the extra 200 on the satin do they pretty much come mint without scratches? (In case I decide to resell it)

My second question is how long will either of the knives be available for sale? Is there a number limit to the LE, or a time limit? And how long should the CG be available. I may buy both so I just want to get an idea on my time frames.

Hmm... kinda short answer..

The TGLB and the AA have been available for a long time. I cannot guess how the plan is laid out for the Anniversary models.. sorry.

Southern,

Who knows, but obviously the SHBM is popular & hasn't been available since 1999--other than used ones.
The Satin version is only $105 upcharge over DC, so IMO is worth it.
Satin is Sweet!

Satin is Sweet!

Do you mean $205 up charge?

The SHBM is a 30th Anniversary offering, and as such it won't be around forever. I'm personally hoping the anniversary knives stay around until the end of this year. But only Busse knows for sure.

I just ordered the ASHBMLE. How could I not, I have been waiting for this knife forever. I owned two of the first 300 SHBM's ever made. Had to pick this one up.

Good choice!
What I meant was $487--for CG plus $95.00 for DC + shipping=597.00
So, basically $100.00 more for Satin---EZ choice to me.

Double Cut. Not sure on the Busse specifics but imagine double cut should be more of a rougher washed finish and satin would be smoother and more polished looking.

"Good way to convince yourself to get the LE version"
Thats how I seen it!

is ASHBM CG really 5/16" thick? I hope so, I am going to order it and dont want a filet knife now LOL.
CG used to be thinner as LE, so I am asking...

...and I cant decide which blade finish to take :) maybe arctic white? Not so common...
