Oh great sog forum members hear my cry !!!

Ive been looking into picking up a vision and most of the info ive found sais it has the arc lock (sogs own website) BUT some say it doesnt.... Is this just incorrect info or was there a production line of the vision w/o an arc lock.

And if there was when did they change it ?

As far as I know their has never been a Vision without and arc lock. Mine has an arc lock and I'm pretty much 100% sure that all of them have arc locks.

I seem to remember a pic of a liner lock SOG Vision somewhere way back when.........:D Notice the last sentence on quote below.

SOG Vision - Rotating out of a space age titanium handle is the radical blade of the Vision. This powerful knife design was made for extreme conditions. The geometric grind lines focus power on the edge and tip of the polished blade. Completely corrosion proof, the titanium handle is lightweight like aluminum but as strong as steel. Other features include a dual thumb stud, liner-type lock, and a lightweight clip.

Not sure exactly when they stopped making this liner lock but I think it was around 1999. So thats it, there are no other locks unless you can find an older liner lock Vision somewhere.

Robbie Roberson. ;)

Robbie's correct. The SOG Vision came out one year before the Night Vision. During that inaugural year, the SOG Vision used a liner lock. In that second year, it and the Night Vision both were SOG's first Arc-Lock knives.

If you haven't tried out the Arc-Lock, try one. The action is very sweet!
