I just got my first Busse in a trade. It should arrive tomorrow. I really don't know what to do with it. What do you all use yours for? Do you keep'em in the car in case you need a knife for something?

I got the SFNO Satin with Magnum Tiger Stipe grips.

Can you buy new grips say if you wanted Magnum Black or something?

Dazed and Confused Doesn't Even Cut it but I bet my new Busse will!

if you feel like using it, it will serve you well

congrats on the SFNO

no sheaths, you have the option of having one of the "locals" make you one... some are listed on the Busse website too

The knives are built to order.. you want it, they make it. As for the rest, the local experts will be along shortly

With any company, they take great care in the making. I only own a PT-5 and uncle mofo, but the quality is definately there!!!!
And yes, Jerry and The Crew are most certainly skilled..

my advice?? send the knife to me, don't open the package.. INFI is EXTREMELY ADDICTING

Jerry: You should put a warning label on these things :D

Cult,

Make the determination of what you want the knife for,,and then do that.

I use the Straight handled Battle Mistress for practicing camping and primitive skills.
Then I store it in my main bugout bag.

I use the Basic #3 for my use it around the house,shop,garage,all-round cut with and abuse knife.
Need to cut somthing that might damage an edge?
This is the knife I choose.

I use my Skel key like I use a pocket knife,,,and to show off.

If you get a NICK,,use it in the kitchen.

I have some Busse knives that the only way I use them is to help hold my gunsafe down,,and maybe to give me some thing to rub with a soft cloth.

I also have thrown them,,hit them with a hammer, shot them, and blown them up, I have stuck them in cracks and stood on them,,and had my adult kids use them as a chinup bar,I have pried the head off of my dodge diesel truck engine( started it into the crack with a hammer,Basic #3) to break it loose during disasembly,I cut a neoprene fuel line off of a steel fuel line.
Hunted rabbit,,,,a primitive skill,,,no firearms,,you are supposed to throw a stick at the rabbit,,I just threw a knife instead,,fun but most definetly not Civilised.

ok...PAPATHUD is the man to have around if you need to hunt or survive in the wilderness! Wow!

How did the rabbit thing work out for you?

imagine what the fusion steel heart test team is doin'.
MMMmmmmmmmm....pricks

Flame Thrower Test! Oh oh! The Taliban Kill'en Test! ummmm....the nuclear waste disolving test...oh the possibilities!

don't know why, but i think i am gonna have to get a bigger busse and shoot it with my .44
is that covered under warranty?? :D
seriously

Um, no. Not quite.

I have seen a Badger (straight handled 1/4") take a .40 round and both the knife and they wearer (yes, it was being worn at the time) are still quite well.

Actually...not to say anything is incorrect but I think part of the Bussy warrenty is...that if you hurt the knife while saving someones life...then it would be either fixed or replaced?..is this right? I could have sworn I read that.....I would consider deflecting a bullet ment for me with the knife saving someones life! Your own! ;)

But like I said. I could be wrong. It happens quite often. ;)

Well I think the spirit of the warranty is that if it happend to get shot while you were using/wearing it and it saved your life it's covered. Now if you take it out and shoot it that would be considered intentional damage and would most likely not be covered under the warranty. I believe it states that they are covered for all major unintentional damage. I mean if you take a torch to it just to see how hard it is to cut that's intentional and shouldn't be covered.
From Badmojo.tv: Statement from Jerry.

"With a steel like INFI it's easy to understand why we offer the toughest guarantee in the business. We guarantee against any and all major damage, including the handles, including accidental damage forever. We highly encourage gross abuse as it is covered by OUR warranty. The only thing we do not cover is intentional damage. For example, let's say you cut your Busse Combat knife in half with an acetylene torch. We probably wouldn't cover that . . . unless it was accidental, in which case we would send you new knife. I have rambled for too long here. Thanks for bearing with me and stay tuned to our website for more info in the future on INFI."

So long as you weren't "aiming" at the knife I'm sure it's covered by the waranty.

I mean, really, would it be your fault if your Busse decided, of it's own volition, to do something stupid like wander off down range? That sort of scenario seems awfully "unintentional" to me. :p

from time to time, i have used a knive to cut tape or stab my target and leave it hanging. hate it when i do that.

besides, i feel shooting my knife would only reinforce why i buy busses ;) :D

9mm/45acp,Mr.Mojo/BM-e/SH-E.
The coolest was cutting bullets in half shooting the knife turned edge on.
Steeling the edge after was needed.

Three dead rabbits, one pin, two needing chased down a bit.

Alot of throws 20+
