Questions concerning CS Cinquedea blade thickness...

Looking at the specs of the CS Cinquedea, it almost seems like it's listing of the blade being 1/8 inch thick is incorrect (not saying it is, only saying it would almost seem to be). Why do I say that?... Because the pics online seem to be showing deep fullers, and I would think the blade would need to be thicker. Is the CS Cinquedea blade thickness comparable to the average Cinquedea of history? Also, does the Cold Steel Cinquedea have a blade that is pretty much the same thickness from hilt to tip, or does it have a distal taper? Thanks in advance 👍

shouldn't your name be bigKnifejimmy?:)

i got no idea on your questions. i don't mess with swords much at all, unless they are machete versions that i can use for controlling the vines and jungle overgrowth around me.

Kult of Athena lists it at 4.3 mm, which is .165". They generally measure several of an item and give an average measurement, as there are always variations in items like this.

Thanks for the info 👍So I guess that would put it more in line with being 1/6" thick (rather than 1/8"). Cool looking blade, and it's styling has me drawn to it (would make for an awesome display within my collection) 👍👍☺

I definitely plan to add one to my collection. They have some great pics over at KoA too, and it looks larger/wider than I imagined.:thumbup:
