Hey guys,

My CO authorized a buy of the Griptilian H2O or possibly Ritter Grip knives for my unit of 10 people. I have a few questions for anyone who may have answers.

1: Is there a way I could get a discount on the purchase of 10 knives? Anyone know of a bulk discount or a military discount that is offered somewhere?

2: We'd like the unit insignia engraved if possible. At the very least, the unit name and a date.

3: Would the Ritter Grip in Orange or the Grip 551H2O be a better choice? Major difference between these two? Does Mr. Ritter do bulk buys/military discounts?

The knives will be work knives for the Coast Guard. I've been tasked with getting this going, so I figured I'd run it by ya'll first.

You might try calling KnifeWorks - They have some info on their site about custom laser etching...

Both will be great knives. The H20 Griptilian would be a pretty cool choice because the stainless they use is very hard to rust. It won't hold an edge nearly as long as the S30v used in the Ritter grips so you'll have to decide which is more important to you. Most big knife dealers have laser engraving services now days that can easily do words, numbers and logos. I don't know of anyone who offers bulk or military discounts though because I've never needed to know. Do some calling around.

Aeromedix.com is the exclusive dealer for the Ritter Griptilians so give them a try, they have excellent service.

Also try Knifeworks, Knifecenter, Cutlery Shoppe, New Graham, A.G. Russell.

Good luck and thanks for serving our great country!
