Hello Joyce, and welcome to the BladeForums. I've got some questions for you.

1. I notice from your profile that you are in "public relations/advertising". I wonder if you could elaborate on your role at Spyderco. Can you describe a typical day on the job for us Forumites who can only dream of our Spyderheroes the way a kid might dream about his favorite baseball players?

2. When you interviewed for your job at Spyderco, did they actually ask you if you were a knife knut?

3. What's your favorite knife of all time?

4. What knife or knives are you carrying today?

5. Was the Flying Jot Khalsa ad your idea?

6. Do you realize you're already more popular than Miss Paragon?

Thank you for joining us.

David Rock

Seriously, she has been very helpful - a great resource for Spyder info and a fun person to chat with. I'm sure you guys will soon find that out!

David,
1) Public relations/advertising is a nice way of saying I talk a lot and I found a job where they pay me to do it. America is great!
2) When you interview with Spyderco they do ask you how you feel about sharp objects. Every member of our Spyderco family is a knife knut…either long standing or convert.
3) Favorite knife of all time? I can’t make up my mind and neither can my co-workers, that’s why every one here wears clothing with LOTS of pockets!
4) Knives on hand today? "Q" attached to shirt collar, Military in a neck sheath (thanks Mike Sastre), BM 3500 (Mel Pardue "the legend")-front pocket and a Kershaw Mini Task-back pocket (big Ken Onion fan).
5) Flying Jot ad came out of Sal’s head and was executed by our masterful art director Tom Jahn. Jot helped out tremendously too.
6) I met Kelly McClusky (a.k.a. Miss Paragon) at the Blade show last year. She’s really a gracious, brilliant and articulate woman. Thanks for the comparison but she’s way ahead of me in a couple of areas.
